After winning Antigua Sailing Week for 3 consecutive years, sports passionate and philanthropist – Robert Szustkowski could not hesitate to make another challenge – help his R-Six Team to become first Polish team to race in a prestigious Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta in 2021.
Blending world-class sailing with the enticing setting of Porto Cervo, the Superyacht Regatta’s winning combination makes it a benchmark of the Mediterranean regatta circuit. Formerly called the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta, the 30th Superyacht Regatta is back in June for five days of exhilarating action off the coast of Sardinia island.
R-Six Team is a unique phenomenon in the world of Polish and global sailing. Formed and supported by Robert Szustkowski, the crew have been engaged in key multihull sailing regattas for many years (Fastnet Race, Heineken Regatta, Les Voiles De St. Bart, Antigua Sailing Week). This year, Robert Szustkowski is setting another milestone in the history of Polish sailing – the team is due to be the first to participate in prestigious Superyacht Regatta in 30th year history.
– I am delighted and honored to have been approved for the start list along leading, professional teams. It is an important point in the history of our team and Polish sailing culture– said Robert Szustkowski.
Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta attracts some of the world’s most magnificent sailing superyachts that have an overall length of over 20m. With around 20 yachts in the running, the races will see seasoned sailors putting their precision and accuracy to the test as they battle it out to be crowned the victor in one of three unique categories. The racing divisions are as followed, Performance, Cruiser, and Southern Winds. The latter is specifically geared towards Southern-Winds built sailing yachts.
